What we do
Under the expert guidance of our two music directors, Cat Evison and Mike Brogan,
the orchestra explores a diverse repertoire of music from classical arrangements
through jazz, folk and rock to contemporary compositions and we have worked with
several composers and arrangers. For those so inclined, we can sometimes offer
the chance to experience conducting, arranging and composing for large ensembles.
We are a non-audition group and members of any age and of a a wide range of playing standards are welcome. We are happy to gain new players.
We charge a membership fee to adult players but please come along to a free taster session and try before you buy!
Children under 16 and those in full-time education participate free.
