On Saturday 21 March we held the first of our workshops for this year.
We’ve been wanting to hold a ‘Playing in small ensembles’ workshop for a while and we finally
managed to run one.

The attendees were allocated quartets, quintets and one trio. These
grouping were changed twice during the day so we got to play with
different people. We’d been given lots of music, of varying levels of
difficulty in advance so we could familiarise ourselves.
Richard dashed about from room to room listening, giving good
advice and occasionally joining in.
At the end of the workshop day, the ensembles each performed a
piece that they’d been working on.
After dinner we relaxed and socialised while being entertained by
anyone who fancied doing a floor spot.
Singing and instruments other that saxophones featured and a lot of fun was had by all.
