Aberdeenshire Saxophone Orchestra performed at Skotoberfest at Castle Fraser.
The start of the day didn't look particularly promising as it was raining, even only slightly. But there was the potential of the whole gig being a washout, quite literally.
However, the rain eased off and we had brilliant sunshine by lunchtime.

Our performance was proceeded by Shona McVey, an Annie Lennox Tribute Act, on the main stage.

The preparations prior to our performance included moving all the different sizes of Saxophone on to the lorry trailer and some were bigger than others.
Our stage was a lorry trailer, which looked precarious, to say the least.
But there was shelter, in case it rained.
Our performance included some well known hits from Billy Joel and Adel, plus some other concert pieces. We performed for 45minutes.
There were lots of other fun acts and activities happening on the day.
Other acts included The Broclaimers, a tribute act of The Proclaimers

Later on in the day, we did a second performance, as the build up to a surprise event. While we played a specially elongated version of Dolly Parton's 'Working 9 to 5' the surprise started with the arrival of the special performer by limo and a spirited conga line dance.

This led nicely on to the special surprise, a Dolly Parton Tribute Act.
It was a really good fun family day out, enjoyed by all.
